Shoreline Ltd appoints Simon Swallow, Former Chief Executive of the Shipowners P&I Club, to its Board of Consultants

Simon Swallow's illustrious career in the maritime sector spans over three decades, with his most recent role as the Chief Executive Officer at the Shipowners’ P&I Club. He joined the Shipowners' Club in 1991 as a Senior Underwriter, quickly rising to the Board of the Club's Management Company. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Swallow demonstrated a remarkable ability to drive business development. Under his leadership, the Club expanded to include over 8,500 Members and more than 33,000 entered vessels. This growth was underpinned by a strong financial capital base and a reputation for delivering excellent service standards to owners of smaller and specialist commercial ships.

In March 2015, Mr. Swallow assumed the position of CEO at the Shipowners’ P&I Club during a period of heightened market competition from the commercial insurance sector. His leadership and strategic acumen played a pivotal role in maintaining the Club's prominence, overseeing its global offices, and nurturing a staff of over 150 professionals. Furthermore, Mr. Swallow actively supported the International Group of P&I Clubs, strengthening the Club's global standing. His regular engagement with the Club's Board, in collaboration with the Club's Chairman, drove the mutual's strategic direction, ensuring its continued success.
